Hope

"Hope opens our hearts
And lessens our woes.
It fights against strife
And vanquishes foes
It can be as small  as a smile
Or as long as the day.
It's  a gift that grows larger
When you give it away."

"Hope is knowing
that no matter how bad
"all this" seems,
God is still all good."

"Instead of searching for hope,
seek God.
Hope will be your constant companion
when you do."

    Flip-Flop Returned

Yesterday I got a call from the elementary.  My heart always skips a beat as I anticipate a playground accident.  It was my eleven year old daughter Nicole.

"Hi, mom.  Could you bring me some more shoes?  At recess I was kicking my foot really high and my flip flop landed on the roof of the portable."

This kind of made me chuckle.  She then told me that the janitor was going to get it off the roof for her.  When you think about it the school janitor has to do a little bit of everything.  So hats off to school janitors everywhere. Thanks for being "Little Givers"!

Cup of Noodle - Pick Up!

I had just finished some late night shopping and was heading out to the parking lot, when my cart went over a bump.  Out tumbled a whole case of 12 cup of noodles.  They were scattered everywhere.  This cute teenage boy, came rushing over and helped me pick every last one up.  I am nominating this young man as  todays Little Giver.

            Being good is commendable,
but only when it is combined
with doing good is it useful.

    And the "Little Giver" is...

I have really missed doing this blog.  I really want to get it going again, but instead of posting about the "Little Gives" that I am involved with, I am going to tell about  someone that  I come in contact with each day that is a "Little Giver".  Some of them might be family, friends, or even strangers.  I  am on the look out, so go out there and do a "Little Give"!
